What is Red Aspen HydraBounce Milky Toner?
HydraBounce is a milky toner that delivers instant, comforting hydration while calming any post-cleanse tightness and prepping skin to fully absorb the next steps in your skincare routine. Its silky, cushioned texture acts like a flexible “first moisturizer,” giving you freedom to use it alone on lighter days, or layer it under your favorite cream when you want extra nourishment. Morning or night, it smooths and softens the skin, supports a healthy skin barrier, and creates the perfect canvas for serums, moisturizers, and makeup to perform at their best.
What are the key ingredients in HydraBounce Milky Toner?
The key ingredients in Red Aspen HydraBounce Milky Toner are:
- Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Complex which delivers deep, long-lasting hydration that plumps and softens your skin from within
- Ceramides & Phytosphingosine to mimic and replenish your skin's natural oils and prevent water loss
- Amino Acid Complex to boost skin repair and elasticity
- Antioxidant Blend with Zinc & Green Tea Extract to shield your skin from free radicals, visibly reduce inflammation, and promote healthy-looking skin
- Milk Protein Extract to nourish your skin, add softness, and strengthen the skin barrier
What is the difference between a traditional toner and a milky toner?
Traditional toners tend to focus on cleansing and balancing, while a milky toner goes a step further as it also nourishes and replenishes your skin barrier.
A regular toner is usually water-light and helps sweep away leftover impurities, balance skin, and prep for the rest of your routine. A milky toner does all that, but with a silky, moisture-rich texture that amps up the hydration. A milky toner's creamy texture delivers an extra boost of hydration and softness.
At what point during my makeup routine should I apply HydraBounce Milky Toner, and how often should I use it?
HydraBounce Milky Toner can be applied during the Tone step of your skincare routine. Start with fresh, clean, exfoliated skin. Apply milky toner with gentle pats to the face, neck, and décolletage. Use as a standalone toner and moisturizer, or follow with your preferred serums and moisturizer for additional hydration in morning or evening skincare routines.

Do I need to apply moisturizer afterward after using HydraBounce Milky Toner?

How long should I wait after applying HydraBounce Milky Toner before I apply my next skincare or makeup products?

Is HydraBounce Milky Toner product safe for sensitive skin? What skin type is it best for?

Is HydraBounce Milky Toner dermatologist-tested and/or clinically proven?

Is HydraBounce Milky Toner Cruelty-Free?
Yes, HydraBounce Milky Toner is Cruelty-Free.
What is the difference between Cruelty-Free and Vegan?
Cruelty-Free means a product and its ingredients were never tested on animals, at any stage of development. Vegan means the formula contains no animal-derived ingredients or by-products.
Our Milky Toner includes Milk Protein Extract—a gentle, skin-loving ingredient derived from milk that’s packed with amino acids and nutrients to help hydrate, soften, and calm the skin. Because of this ingredient, HydraBounce Milky Toner is not considered Vegan. However, it is completely Cruelty-Free, as no animals are harmed or tested in the process of collecting Milk Protein Extract.
What if I am susceptible to allergies, have a known milk protein allergy, or am lactose intolerant?
Always consult with your healthcare provider before trying any new skincare product if you have a known allergy. Lactose intolerance is an adverse reaction to ingesting lactose and is unrelated to applying cosmetics to the skin. However, if you have a milk protein allergy, a sensitivity reaction may occur depending on your skin type, so a patch test is recommended before use.
How long will a bottle of HydraBounce Milky Toner last?
One bottle of HydraBounce Milky Toner will last between 2.5-4 months, depending on how many drops you use, and if you apply it once or twice per day. You only need a few drops to get a silky boost of hydration, so a little goes a long way!
Will HydraBounce Milky Toner leave my skin oily or sticky?
No, it hydrates without heaviness, leaving skin soft, bouncy, and ready for the next step in your skincare or makeup routine.
Can I mix HydraBounce Milk Toner with my Red Aspen Skin Tint?
Yes, you can mix Milky Toner with Skin Tint! Add 1-2 drops of Milky Toner to your Skin Tint and apply using fingers for a silky, smooth application. Red Aspen Skin Tint is considered medium coverage, and adding Milky Toner to it will make it even more sheer.

How do I determine my skin type?
The easiest way to know your skin type is by first washing your face with a gentle cleanser. From there, pat your face dry and wait 15-30 minutes to assess how your skin feels naturally without any products.
If it feels tight, like you forgot to put on your moisturizer, you have a drier skin type. If after 30 minutes your skin feels slick, you likely have an oily skin type. Don’t stress! Neither of these is a bad thing!
On the flip side, if after 30 minutes you don't feel tight or slick, you’re among the lucky few who have what is characterized as a normal skin type, aka it feels balanced and comfortable, without excessive dryness or oiliness.
How do I know if I have sensitive skin?
You may have sensitive skin if you are prone to irritation and your skin has visible redness or feels itchy.
What do I need to know if I have sensitive skin?
For those with sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing on another area — like your neck or wrist — before fully applying skincare products to the face. If any irritation occurs, do not continue use of the product.
What do I do if I experience pilling or separation when I am applying skincare products?
If you’re experiencing pilling or separation when applying skincare products, you likely have used too much product and/or haven’t given enough time between skincare steps for each product to soak into the skin before moving onto the next.
What testing has Red Aspen done for its skincare products?
Red Aspen has conducted either RIPT testing or RIPT testing with self-perceived sensitive skin subjects on the following skincare products: MineralMilk Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, DewRenew Snail Mucin Serum, and RefreshGel Facial Cleanser.
What is RIPT/HRIPT testing?
RIPT testing (Repeat Insult Patch Test), also known as HRIPT testing (Human Repeat Insult Patch Test) assesses a product's potential to cause skin irritation and allergic reactions after repeated exposure. It’s conducted by a third-party independent lab.
RIPT testing supports claims like: “clinically tested,” "Dermatologist tested,” “non-irritating,” “did not cause irritation or sensitization in a clinical test,” or “non-sensitizing.”
RIPT testing with self-perceived sensitive skin subjects in addition to this supports the following claims: “hypoallergenic,” “suitable for sensitive skin,” and "clinically tested to be gentle on all skin types, including sensitive skin.”
Important: Please note that not every product was tested on sensitive skin. Please refer to each product’s individual FAQ to see if it was tested on sensitive skin.
Are Red Aspen skincare products non-comedogenic?
Determining if a product is "non-comedogenic" involves a specific test to determine if a skincare product is formulated not to clog pores, a common cause of acne and blackheads. This is a test we usually complete only for makeup products, like our Skin Tint.
What is consumer perception testing? Does Red Aspen plan to complete consumer perception tests in the future?
Consumer perception testing is a type of research where real people — usually target customers — try a product and share their opinions on how it looks, how it feels, how it performs, or how it affects their skin. We have not conducted any consumer perception testing, but never say “Never.”
What does it mean when a product says “clinically tested”?
“Clinically tested” concentrates on safety — confirming the product doesn’t cause irritation or sensitization when used on skin.
