What is clean beauty?

Clean beauty is a movement in the beauty industry that refers to cosmetics and skincare products that are free of harmful chemicals and made with safe, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly ingredients.

Why is Red Aspen offering Aspen Verified products?

At Red Aspen, we value safety and transparency above all else, especially when it comes to the ingredients and screening process we use to formulate our collection of beauty and cosmetics products. Informed beauty choices start with the ingredient list, and we want all of our Brand Ambassadors and customers to feel informed and confident in their purchasing decisions.

Is every Red Aspen product Aspen Verified?

The majority of Red Aspen products are Aspen Verified, however there are certain products that do not have the Aspen Verified mark. These products may include certain ingredients or trace amounts of ingredients that do not adhere to the restrictions and regulations mentioned above.

If I see a Red Aspen Product I love that isn’t Red Aspen Verified, does Red Aspen provide alternatives?

Yes! Our goal in using the Aspen Verified program is to provide our Brand Ambassadors and customers with transparent information and options so they can make the best choice for themselves. Here are a few examples of non-verified Red Aspen products, and their alternatives:

ManiPrep Mask - Unscented ManiPrep Mask

PediPrep Mask - Unscented PediPrep Mask

Options are everything, and we want to be as transparent and inclusive as possible.

If I see a Red Aspen product that does not have the "Aspen Verified" label, should I be concerned?

If a product does not have the "Aspen Verified" label, it does not mean that the product is unsafe or of poor quality. Aspen Verified is a standard we established to provide transparency for our customers.

Ingredients which are included in the regulations and considered by our standard as not Aspen Verified might just be known for potential skin irritation, allergic reactions, or environmental concerns. Our aim is to provide transparency to our customers so they’re able to make the choice that best suits them.

Rules and regulations on ingredients can change as research evolves over time. We utilize a cosmetics ingredient software to stay on top of these changes and will work towards updating formulas and keeping them compliant.

Are all Aspen Verified products vegan?

Many, but not all, Aspen Verified products are vegan. Our product benefit icons on each product page will indicate which Red Aspen products are vegan.

What is the difference between vegan and cruelty-free?

A vegan product doesn’t contain any animal or animal-derived ingredients. A cruelty-free product hasn’t been tested on animals at any point during the production process. A cruelty-free product may still contain animal-derived ingredients that are collected in a humane way, for example beeswax, collagen, honey or snail mucin.
