Red Aspen’s Forever Flawless Concealer is the perfect addition to your everyday makeup routine. Red Aspen Concealer offers full coverage, with some flexibility based on the type of application you use (sponge vs. brush, for example). 

There are two ways concealer can be used:

1. Concealing - Cover blemishes and imperfections. Go with the same # level as you use in Red Aspen Skin Tint, aka the closest match to your skin. Apply anywhere on your face where you need to conceal.
2. Matte highlight - Bring forward the parts of your face you want to feature, or pop out the structure of the face. Go 1-2 levels lighter than your skin tone, or 1-2 levels lighter than your Skin Tint number. (For example, if you use Red Aspen Skin Tint is #3, use level #2 or #1 for Concealer). Apply under eyes, eyelids, below your eyebrows, and on your nose to bring those areas forward.

Start with a thin layer of Concealer. Apply layer by layer with a soft stippling motion for the desired coverage.

That all depends on the kind of coverage you’re wanting. Our Concealer formula is full coverage, but you can use the following Red Aspen makeup tools to adjust your application level.

Red Aspen Concealer Brush (F10) - Our Concealer Brush is made with dense bristles, making it easy to pack on more product and really into those corners of your face. Think of this as your best full coverage option.

Red Aspen Highlighter & Contour Face Brush (F04) - This makeup brush will provide medium to full application, and it’s designed to help with blending as well. Blending is also best when you need a little extra help avoiding your concealer settling into fine lines. 

Red Aspen Mini Makeup Sponge (F07) - This makeup sponge is your best tool for light application of your concealer. That said, it needs to be wet for better application.

We use the same numbering system as our Skin Tint formula, so it’s as easy as choosing the same shade number you used there! By the way, if you haven’t tried Red Aspen Skin Tint already, you owe it to yourself to do so. It’s formulated with Niacinamide to help visibly brighten and smooth your skin’s overall texture, and you can learn even more about it here in our blog!

That said, if you’re a #4 in our skin tint, you’ll also be a #4 in our concealer formula. However, you can also use Red Aspen Concealer as a matte highlight. For that, you only need to go 1-2 shades higher, like so:

Red Aspen Concealer is suitable for all skin types. 

Ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide help to hydrate and smooth your skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines.

With that said, we recommend using a face primer first before applying Red Aspen Skin Tint or Concealer on top of fine lines. This should help to prevent settling. Likewise, we recommend using our Precision Highlighter & Contour Brush (F04) and our Mini Makeup Sponge to apply concealer to those areas.

For the best results, we recommend applying Red Aspen Concealer after Skin Tint/Foundation.

Great news! Given the full coverage of the formula and the oversized doe foot applicator, you can totally use Red Aspen Concealer in place of your usual liquid foundation. That said, please note that you might need to mix some shades to find your perfect match.

Think of your skin tint as your base, and concealer is your tool to enhance the look of your skin tint! Red Aspen Skin Tint is medium, buildable coverage, and our concealer is full coverage.

The short answer is that if you’re a Level #1 in Red Aspen Skin Tint, you’re also a Level #1 in our concealer formula. That said, if you’re fair skinned, we don’t recommend using a matte highlight technique. Instead, we recommend adding more color/warmth to your makeup via the warmer shades of our Red Aspen Sculpt Stick.

Not at all! In fact, if you don’t like putting on extra makeup, just use Red Aspen Concealer on its own to conceal any blemishes, cover up dark circles, or as a matte highlight. It’s that easy!
