The best sunscreen
"Love how it goes on smooth and you can wear it underneath your makeup. I’m on my second bottle"

Red Aspen’s MineralMilk™ Sunscreen SPF 50 is a lightweight, broad spectrum mineral sunscreen, that helps shield your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, and is enriched with powerful antioxidants like zinc oxide, niacinamide, ferulic acid, and astaxanthin to help reduce skin discoloration, improve the look of your skin, and promote better overall skin healing.
Mineral sunscreen works by sitting on the skin’s surface to block and reflect harmful UV rays.
Great news! MineralMilk™ is free of silicones, PEGs, and fragrance.
Chemical sunscreens protect your skin using synthetic organic compounds like avobenzone or oxybenzone. Chemical sunscreens penetrate the top layers of your skin and absorb UV rays, then neutralize those rays and convert them to heat through a chemical reaction.
Mineral sunscreens, also known as physical sunscreen, tend to be gentler. They protect your skin using natural minerals like zinc oxide. Mineral sunscreen sits on TOP of the skin and acts like a shield, reflecting and scattering the sun’s rays to help to lessen the potential for skin irritation.
SPF refers to a sunscreen’s “Sun Protection Factor” rating, which indicates how well a sunscreen protects your skin from UVB rays that can cause sunburn.
It tells you how much longer you can stay in the sun without burning compared to not wearing sunscreen. Red Aspen’s MineralMilk™ Sunscreen is an SPF 50 formula. That means you can be in the sun 50 times longer before you start to redden than if you had no protection.
Yes, Red Aspen’s MineralMilk™ Sunscreen provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. UVB rays primarily cause sunburn and can directly damage the skin’s surface, while UVA rays penetrate deeper, contributing to skin aging and long-term damage.
Yes, Red Aspen’s MineralMilk™ Sunscreen has been clinically-tested and dermatologist-tested, so you can be assured we put time and effort into making sure we got the formula right. Plus, it makes for a great base, meaning you can apply this sunscreen and let it absorb before using your Skin Tint for added protection and a flawless finish. The MineralMilk™ is that versatile!
While our MineralMilk™ Sunscreen formula was not specifically tested on sensitive skin, it is dermatologist-tested to be non-irritating for most skin types. However, if you have specific skin concerns, we recommend doing a patch test behind the ear or on the wrist before using the product fully.
MineralMilk™ is formulated and tested for a lightweight finish on most skin tones with minimal visible trace. The formula provides effective sun protection without compromising on performance.
MineralMilk™ is suitable for all skin types, providing a nourishing, protective barrier from UV rays whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin.
Important: Please note, MineralMilk™ has not been specifically tested for sensitive or acne prone skin.
Apply MineralMilk™ as the final step in your skincare routine, before applying makeup.
Reapply every 2 hours if outside (even if it’s cloudy), or as needed during the day.
Absolutely! Mineral sunscreen provides a great base, especially when paired with our Skin Tint, for added protection and a flawless finish. For the best results, we recommend waiting until the MineralMilk™ has absorbed into the skin before applying makeup to avoid any pilling or separation.
Absolutely! Red Aspen’s MineralMilk™ Sunscreen provides broad-spectrum protection and is gentle on the skin, making it ideal for everyday wear and an essential part of any skincare routine.
MineralMilk™ is not water resistant, and we recommend using a water-resistant sunscreen for swimming or sweating.
MineralMilk™ is specially formulated as a face sunscreen, however you can use it on the body for broad protection. It’s your choice!
While Red Aspen’s mineral sunscreen does provide some hydration, it’s primarily designed to protect the skin from sun exposure. For further hydration, we recommend applying Red Aspen DewRenew Snail Mucin Serum or your favorite moisturizer before MineralMilk™.
Red Aspen MineralMilk™ contains zinc oxide which is generally regarded as safer for reefs. However, without official certifications, we recommend reviewing ingredient guidelines.
No. Always avoid using our mineral sunscreen in the immediate eye area.
If you’re experiencing pilling or separation when applying your makeup after MineralMilk, you’ve likely used too much product and/or haven’t given enough time between application steps for each product to soak in.
For the best results, apply a pea-sized amount to the face and wait a few moments before applying Skin Tint or any other makeup product.
Red Aspen MineralMilk™ has a subtle peachy-pink hue, but absorbs clear, leaving a natural finish on the skin. For skin coverage or tint, you can apply Red Aspen Skin Tint afterwards, or mix the appropriate amount of our mineral sunscreen with your preferred shade of Skin Tint.
Skin Prep
Start with a clean, moisturized face and neck. Apply your favorite moisturizer and/or DewRenew Serum and let it soak in for 1-2 minutes. This ensures the sunscreen goes on evenly, without clinging to dry skin.
Application
You can apply Red Aspen's MineralMilk™ Sunscreen in two ways: on its own or mixed with your preferred shade of Skin Tint.
Application Technique A - MineralMilk Sunscreen Alone
Pro Tip: If needed, use a makeup sponge for an even application and to remove any excess product.
Application Technique B. MineralMilk + Skin Tint
The easiest way to know your skin type is by first washing your face with a gentle cleanser. From there, pat your face dry and wait 15-30 minutes to assess how your skin feels naturally without any products.
If it feels tight, like you forgot to put on your moisturizer, you have a drier skin type. If after 30 minutes your skin feels slick, you likely have an oily skin type. Don’t stress! Neither of these is a bad thing!
On the flip side, if after 30 minutes you don't feel tight or slick, you’re among the lucky few who have what is characterized as a normal skin type, aka it feels balanced and comfortable, without excessive dryness or oiliness.
You may have sensitive skin if you are prone to irritation and your skin has visible redness or feels itchy.
For those with sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing on another area — like your neck or wrist — before fully applying skincare products to the face. If any irritation occurs, do not continue use of the product.
If you’re experiencing pilling or separation when applying skincare products, you likely have used too much product and/or haven’t given enough time between skincare steps for each product to soak into the skin before moving onto the next.
Red Aspen has conducted either RIPT testing or RIPT testing with self-perceived sensitive skin subjects on the following skincare products: MineralMilk Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, DewRenew Snail Mucin Serum, and RefreshGel Facial Cleanser.
RIPT testing (Repeat Insult Patch Test), also known as HRIPT testing (Human Repeat Insult Patch Test) assesses a product's potential to cause skin irritation and allergic reactions after repeated exposure. It’s conducted by a third-party independent lab.
RIPT testing supports claims like: “clinically tested,” "Dermatologist tested,” “non-irritating,” “did not cause irritation or sensitization in a clinical test,” or “non-sensitizing.”
RIPT testing with self-perceived sensitive skin subjects in addition to this supports the following claims: “hypoallergenic,” “suitable for sensitive skin,” and "clinically tested to be gentle on all skin types, including sensitive skin.”
Important: Please note that not every product was tested on sensitive skin. Please refer to each product’s individual FAQ to see if it was tested on sensitive skin.
Determining if a product is "non-comedogenic" involves a specific test to determine if a skincare product is formulated not to clog pores, a common cause of acne and blackheads. This is a test we usually complete only for makeup products, like our Skin Tint.
Consumer perception testing is a type of research where real people — usually target customers — try a product and share their opinions on how it looks, how it feels, how it performs, or how it affects their skin. We have not conducted any consumer perception testing, but never say “Never.”
“Clinically tested” concentrates on safety — confirming the product doesn’t cause irritation or sensitization when used on skin.

"Love the feel and the sunscreen"
"Mineral Milk is nice and light so you don’t feel greasy. Only reason for the ‘4’ is because it has a slight odor even when shaken but it doesn’t stay around. Now - if RA would add sunscreen to Aspen Kiss or create a lip sunscreen it could partner well with Mineral Milk"
"I have peace of mind that I have added a moisturizer that also includes SPF protection. It goes on smoothly and works well under makeup."
"I Love it"
"It's not heavy. Goes on smooth"
