Red Aspen’s Blue Hydrogel Face Mask is a deeply-hydrating facial mask infused with 10 types of hyaluronic acid, beta-glucan, glycerin, and Vitamin E to help replenish and lock in moisture for softer, smoother, more radiant-looking skin.
Our Blue Hydrogen Face Mask contains 10 different derivatives of Hyaluronic Acid:
Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Potassium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate Dimethylsilanol, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate
It’s best to leave the Blue Hydrogel Face Mask on your skin for roughly 10-20 minutes, as per the instructions. Leaving the mask on beyond this time frame can cause it to dry out or draw moisture away from your skin.
Red Aspen’s Blue Hydrogel Mask can be used several times a week, or even daily, as an addition to your AM or PM skincare routine.
You don’t need to wash your face after using our hydrogel face mask. It’s a leave-on product. However, we do recommend that you gently pat any remaining serum into the skin after removing the mask.
Red Aspen’s Blue Hydrogel Face Mask can be used as the third step in your skincare routine, right after cleansing or toning, and just before applying your moisturizer.
However, if you’re applying multiple products to treat your skin beforehand or using makeup remover wipes as your first step, just remember to use the face mask between toning and applying your moisturizer for the best results.
It sure is! Our Blue Hydrogel Face Mask is formulated with gentle, skin-loving ingredients that suit all skin types, and we prioritized hydration and soothing in the formula. That said, you should always check the ingredient list if you have specific allergies.
No, these hydrogel face masks are designed to amplify your everyday skincare routine, not replace a serum or moisturizer. They’re designed to deliver an extra surge of hydration and nutrients. For the best results, follow up with our DewRenew Snail Mucin Serum and your favorite moisturizer to maintain proper skin health and a natural, healthy-looking glow.
No, for hygiene and effectiveness, our Blue Hydrogel Face Masks are single-use only. Reusing the face masks can reduce their benefits and increase the risk of skin irritation.
Absolutely! Storing the face mask in the fridge before use adds an extra cooling and de-puffing effect.

The easiest way to know your skin type is by first washing your face with a gentle cleanser. From there, pat your face dry and wait 15-30 minutes to assess how your skin feels naturally without any products.
If it feels tight, like you forgot to put on your moisturizer, you have a drier skin type. If after 30 minutes your skin feels slick, you likely have an oily skin type. Don’t stress! Neither of these is a bad thing!
On the flip side, if after 30 minutes you don't feel tight or slick, you’re among the lucky few who have what is characterized as a normal skin type, aka it feels balanced and comfortable, without excessive dryness or oiliness.
You may have sensitive skin if you are prone to irritation and your skin has visible redness or feels itchy.
For those with sensitive skin, we recommend patch testing on another area — like your neck or wrist — before fully applying skincare products to the face. If any irritation occurs, do not continue use of the product.
If you’re experiencing pilling or separation when applying skincare products, you likely have used too much product and/or haven’t given enough time between skincare steps for each product to soak into the skin before moving onto the next.
Red Aspen has conducted either RIPT testing or RIPT testing with self-perceived sensitive skin subjects on the following skincare products: MineralMilk Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, DewRenew Snail Mucin Serum, and RefreshGel Facial Cleanser.
RIPT testing (Repeat Insult Patch Test), also known as HRIPT testing (Human Repeat Insult Patch Test) assesses a product's potential to cause skin irritation and allergic reactions after repeated exposure. It’s conducted by a third-party independent lab.
RIPT testing supports claims like: “clinically tested,” "Dermatologist tested,” “non-irritating,” “did not cause irritation or sensitization in a clinical test,” or “non-sensitizing.”
RIPT testing with self-perceived sensitive skin subjects in addition to this supports the following claims: “hypoallergenic,” “suitable for sensitive skin,” and "clinically tested to be gentle on all skin types, including sensitive skin.”
Important: Please note that not every product was tested on sensitive skin. Please refer to each product’s individual FAQ to see if it was tested on sensitive skin.
Determining if a product is "non-comedogenic" involves a specific test to determine if a skincare product is formulated not to clog pores, a common cause of acne and blackheads. This is a test we usually complete only for makeup products, like our Skin Tint.
Consumer perception testing is a type of research where real people — usually target customers — try a product and share their opinions on how it looks, how it feels, how it performs, or how it affects their skin. We have not conducted any consumer perception testing, but never say “Never.”
“Clinically tested” concentrates on safety — confirming the product doesn’t cause irritation or sensitization when used on skin.
