Avoid Shaving Gel to Preserve the Finish
"This was my first set of dashes, and I LOVED them. They just look really sharp and get a lot of compliments. However, after using shaving gel, the chrome finish washed away and left behind a solid black nail. These also kept popping off probably due to my skin care routine destroying the glue(?), despite roughing up the nail a bit, applying the dehydrator, and using all forms of the glue available (brush on gel, tabs, and finally the included superglue liquid). I think I may be too hard on my hands to use dashes. But yes--these were lovely while they lasted (little over a week) until I finally threw in the towel. I kept losing a nail, almost every day, sometimes more than once a day. Frustrating because I really wanted this to work."
