How do I start a subscription with Red Aspen?

Subscribing to Red Aspen products is easy! Find the subscription eligible products or pre-built routines (discounted bundles) you want to subscribe to, select Subscribe to Save and your preferred cadence before hitting Add to Cart, then checkout as normal. 

The more products you subscribe to, the more you save!

Do I need a Red Aspen account to take advantage of the Subscribe to Save program?

Yes! With a Red Aspen account, you can view and manage your subscriptions at any time, so be sure you create an account on redaspenlove.com, if you haven’t already.

How do I add a new subscription to my current Red Aspen subscription order?

To add a non-subscription product to your upcoming subscription order, make sure you’re logged in to your Red Aspen account. Then navigate to the eligible product on redaspenlove.com, click the Add to Upcoming Order on X date button, and hit Add. Your item will now ship with your upcoming subscription order!

To add a pre-built routine (discounted bundle) to your current Red Aspen subscription order, the process is the same as starting a new subscription.* Find the subscription-eligible products or pre-built routine you want to subscribe to, select Subscribe to Save and preferred cadence, the click Add to Cart, and check out as normal. 

*If you’d like your new pre-built routine (discounted bundle) to process at the same time as your current subscription, contact Support at hello@redaspen.com

What options do I have for Red Aspen subscriptions?

Red Aspen subscriptions are VERY customizable! You can:

  • Subscribe to select individual products.
  • Subscribe to build-your-own routine.
  • Subscribe to pre-built routines (pre-built discounted bundles) on the Subscription page.
  • Choose the quantity that suits you!
  • Choose from a 1-month, 2-month, 3-month, or 4-month cadence.

What discounts can I receive on Red Aspen subscription orders?

Red Aspen subscriptions are tiered so that the more you spend, the more you save! Subscription orders totaling:

  • $1-74.99 will receive a 10% discount
  • $75-99.99 will receive a 15% discount
  • $100+ will receive a 20% discount

Additionally, any products on a subscription totaling $75 or more, after discounts are applied, will qualify for Free Economy Shipping.

What shipping options are available for Red Aspen subscriptions?

When you place your first subscription order, you can select from any of our shipping options. After your initial subscription order, all recurring subscriptions will automatically ship using our Economy Shipping Option. Please note that “Will Call” is not available for subscription orders. If Will Call was selected during your initial order, please reach out to the support team at hello@red-aspen.com for assistance in adding a shipping address for recurring orders.

When will Red Aspen subscriptions ship?

  • First time subscription orders: Orders will process immediately and ship following our standard shipping timelines.
  • Recurring subscription orders: Orders will process on the day of the month you selected, with the frequency you selected, and be shipped out following our standard shipping timelines

How do I access Red Aspen’s Subscription Manager?

You must have a Red Aspen Shopify login to manage subscriptions. Once logged into your Red Aspen account, navigate to Account and select Subscription Manager.

What options do I have to manage my subscription? 

Within your Subscription Manager, you can:

  • View all of your active subscriptions.
  • Select the day you want to process your subscription each month.
  • Adjust the frequency of your subscription.
  • Get your subscription order right away.
  • Add, remove, and edit the shipping address for your account. 
  • Edit the shipping address for your subscription(s).
  • Add or edit your payment method.
  • Skip, pause, or cancel your product subscriptions.
  • Swap product for a different shade (eligible products only).

As you make edits within your Subscription Manager, order discounts will automatically adjust based on your new cart order totals. Additionally, updating the shipping address for your subscription will update it for the entire order. 

What’s the difference between Skip, Pause, and Cancel in Subscription Manager?

  • Skip: Allows you to automatically skip one subscription cycle. For example, you’re subscribed to Skin Tint and the order is scheduled to process every month on the 1st. If you select Skip before your upcoming Aug. 1 subscription, it will automatically shift the processing date to Sept. 1 instead. 
  • Pause: Allows you to choose the month you wish to resume your subscription, rather than just skipping one cycle. For example, you’re subscribed to Skin Tint and the order is scheduled to process every month on the 1st. If you select Pause before your upcoming Aug. 1 subscription, you can instead process that item on Sept. 1, Oct. 1, Nov. 1, etc. 
  • Cancel: Allows you to completely remove the item from your subscription order. For example, you’re subscribed to Skin Tint, but no longer wish to receive that item in your subscription. If you select Cancel, you are removing that item from your subscription orders. (Don’t worry – you can resubscribe to it at any time!)

How do Red Aspen subscription pre-built routines work?

We’ve made Red Aspen subscription pre-built routines (discounted bundles) easy to manage. Here’s what separates our subscription program from others:

  • We’ve curated special pre-built routines using makeup and skincare products that you can add to your cart with just one click.
  • To ensure you’re able to easily update your subscription as your routine evolves, select products in our pre-built routines can be edited in your Subscription Manager on your account. Let’s say you want to swap to a new Skin Tint shade for summer, cancel an item you don’t need anymore, or increase your quantity of Makeup Remover Wipes. You have total flexibility! 
  • As you make edits in your Subscription Manager, order discounts will automatically adjust based on your new cart totals.

Can I cancel my Red Aspen subscription at any time?

Yes, you can cancel a Red Aspen subscription at any time before your order processes. The easiest way to do that is through the Subscription Manager in your redaspenlove.com account. If you have trouble canceling your subscription, send an email to hello@red-aspen.com for help.

I want to make edits to my Red Aspen subscription order before it processes. When do I need to complete those changes?

You will receive a reminder email a few days before each subscription order processes. If you’d like to make any edits, we recommend you make any changes to your subscription order by 11:59 PM MT the day before your order is set to process.

Can I swap products in a Red Aspen subscription? 

Certain subscription products (primarily shade products) are eligible to be swapped out for others and can be adjusted at any time. Within the Subscription Manager, click the Swap Product button next to the product you’d like to swap.

The following products can be swapped for the same product in a different shade: 

  • Skin Tint
  • Concealer
  • Makeup Sticks
  • Lip Gloss
  • Lip Stain
  • Lipstick

Can I return a subscription product?

Yes. To return a subscription product, reach out to Support at hello@red-aspen.com.

Can Red Aspen Nail Dashes be ordered through subscription orders?

No, Nail Dashes cannot be added to subscription orders.

Can Red Aspen Pop Up Rewards or other discounts be applied to subscription orders? 

No, Pop Up Rewards and promo codes cannot be applied to subscription orders. This behavior is consistent with how promo codes currently work when combined with other discounted or bundled items. Here’s what you can expect:

  • If someone places an initial subscription order with only subscription items and enters a promo code, they will receive an error and the promo code cannot be applied.
  • If someone places an initial subscription order and includes additional full-price items in their cart, the promo code will apply to full-price items only, and the subscription discount will be removed.

Can I move a subscription order into a Red Aspen Pop Up?

Only initial subscriptions can be placed under a Red Aspen Pop Up. Any other recurring subscription orders cannot be moved into a Pop Up.

I have a recurring subscription order coming up but the product is on sale on the Red Aspen website. Will I receive the sale price?

Subscription orders are always calculated based on the product’s regular full price. Any temporary sales or promotional pricing on the website will not apply to subscription orders.

For example, if a product normally costs $10 and your subscription includes a 10% discount, your order will be processed at $9, regardless of any active sale prices on the website.

Can I combine subscription products to be in the same subscription order? 

Yes. To merge separate subscriptions into the same subscription order, log in to your Red Aspen account, and follow these steps:

  1. Update the shipping date within your Subscription Manager
  2. For orders you want to merge, confirm they’re shipping to the same shipping address and have the same payment method. The shipping address and payment method must be identical between the orders you’d like to merge in order to process together successfully. 
  3. Select the two subscriptions you want to merge and set them to process on the same day. They’ll automatically merge together when processing, and your subscription discount will automatically adjust, if applicable.

Can I add non-subscription products into my cart when starting a Red Aspen subscription?

Yes, you can add both subscription-eligible and non-subscription-eligible products to your cart when starting a subscription. Item discounts will only apply to the subscription-eligible items. Shipping discounts will only apply if your cart total contains $75 or more of subscription-eligible products, after the discount.

Shipping Discount Examples:

  • Scenario 1: Your cart contains $50 of subscription products and $40 of non-subscription products. Your cart would NOT qualify for Free Economy Shipping, as it does not reach the threshold of $75 or more in Subscriptions. 
  • Scenario 2: Your cart contains $80 of subscription products and $10 of non-subscription products. Your entire cart would qualify for Free Economy Shipping! 
  • Scenario 3: Your cart contains $50 of subscription product and $60 of non-subscription product. Your entire cart qualifies for Free Economy Shipping, as you’ve reached the normal threshold of $100 for free shipping. 

I am subscribed to a pre-built routine and want to switch products. Can I do that?

Of course. You can manage individual Red Aspen products in your subscription in the Subscription Manager, regardless if it was added as part of a pre-built routine. Log in to your Red Aspen account, navigate to AccountSubscription Manager, then you can pause, skip, swap, or cancel an individual product at any time. 

If you’d like to swap an eligible product in your subscription order, click Swap Product, then select the new shade you want to receive. The following products can be swapped:

  • Skin Tint
  • Concealer
  • Makeup Sticks
  • Lip Gloss
  • Lip Stain
  • Lipstick

Will I be notified and can I pick a different product if something is discontinued or out of stock?

Yes, if your Red Aspen subscription product is out of stock, you can choose to pause your subscription until a specified date, or you can allow your subscription to automatically skip that product until it’s back in stock. For eligible products, if you’d like to permanently swap something in a subscription, choose Swap Product and select the new shade you’d like to receive. These features can all be found within your Subscription Manager. (The other products in a pre-built routine will ship as normal.)

If a subscription product is discontinued, we’ll notify you in advance so you can update the product before it is automatically cancelled and removed from your subscription.

Will I earn commission on Red Aspen subscription orders?

All subscription orders are eligible for commission. 

Can I share a cart for a Red Aspen subscription?

No, the sharing a cart function does not work with Red Aspen subscriptions. If you add an item to your cart using the Subscribe to Save function, it will not appear when you share your cart. If you add other products as one-time purchases to your cart, only the products added as a one-time purchase will appear when you share your cart. 

Are there reports in my Red Aspen Hub for subscription orders?
