1. Open and twist the bottom of the Cuticle Oil Pen for oil application.
2. Carefully apply Cuticle Oil around the cuticle line and nail.
3. Massage Cuticle Oil into each nail bed and surrounding cuticle.
Pro Tip: To reveal your most moisturized cuticles, allow oil to soak in overnight. Use this product between Nail Dash sets to keep your cuticles healthy. You can also use it to aid in Nail Dash removal.
What are the benefits of Red Aspen’s Cuticle Oil Pen?
Red Aspen’s Cuticle Oil Pen is formulated with Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, and more to deeply nourish, hydrate, and restore your nails to look their best. Keep your cuticles healthy with this compact, easy-to-use twist pen.
What is the difference between Red Aspen Cuticle Oil and the Red Aspen Cuticle Oil Pen?
The primary difference between our original Red Aspen Cuticle Oil and this new Cuticle Oil Pen is the packaging. Our original Cuticle Oil comes in a bottle with a brush-on applicator similar to nail polish, whereas our new Cuticle Oil Pen features a twist tube and brush for precise, mess-free application.
Not only does this new design enhance application, but it’s more travel-friendly as well, making it ideal for busy lifestyles.
How much is the Red Aspen Cuticle Oil Pen?
Red Aspen’s Cuticle Oil Pen retails for $16.
Does Red Aspen’s Cuticle Oil have a fragrance?
Nope! Our Cuticle Oil formula is fragrance-free, using a mixture of nourishing, natural oils.
What are the ingredients in Red Aspen Cuticle Oil?
Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Silica, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)
What is the net weight difference between the original Red Aspen Cuticle Oil and the new Cuticle Oil Pen?
Our original Cuticle Oil bottle is 0.33 fl. oz / 10 mL, while the new Cuticle Oil Pen is 0.13 fl oz / 4mL.
Can I use Red Aspen’s Cuticle Oil on my toes as well?
You sure can! Use our Cuticle Oil Pen to give your toenails a nourishing and hydrating boost.
Is the Cuticle Oil Pen safe to use on my Nail Dashes?
Absolutely! Like our original Cuticle Oil formula, this new pen application can be used directly on the cuticle while you’re wearing Nail Dashes to promote healthier-looking nails. For a longer-lasting manicure or pedicure, follow the instructions below:
Red Aspen Nail Dash Application
Step 1. Wash and dry your nails thoroughly, then buff them with the Red Aspen Nail Buffer.
Step 2. Wipe your nails from cuticle to tip with Nail Prep Pads to remove pesky dirt, debris, and oil.
Step 3. Apply a coat of our quick-drying Nail Dehydrator before applying your press-ons for a better hold.
Step 4. With dry nails, apply your favorite Red Aspen Nail Dashes or Red Aspen Pedi Dashes via the box instructions for the perfect manicure/pedicure.
Why should I use the new Red Aspen Cuticle Oil Pen versus the original Cuticle Oil formula?
That’s easy! Our new Cuticle Oil Pen is easier to use and more compact, making it ideal for busy lifestyles or for anyone who’d like to keep some cuticle oil in their purse or bag.
With the new Cuticle Oil Pen, how will I know if I’m running low so I can order more?
The easiest way to tell that you’re running low with the new Cuticle Oil Pen is if the pen requires more twists to dispense the oil. You might also notice that less product is coming out with each twist. If that’s the case, go ahead and reorder.
Is Red Aspen’s Cuticle Oil Pen refillable?
Unfortunately, our Cuticle Oil Pen is not refillable.
I twisted the Cuticle Oil Pen and it's not working. How many times do I need to twist in order for cuticle oil to come out?
When using the product for the first time or after not using it for a while, it may take 5-10 full twists for the cuticle oil to start coming out. If it's still not working, try twisting a few more times. Once the oil starts coming out, you only need one twist for each additional use.
Does the cuticle oil have to be rinsed off after application? Or do you apply and leave it on for conditioning?
Our Cuticle Oil Pen is best used between Nail Dash applications to promote healthier-looking nails. Having oil on your nails makes it difficult for the Nail Dashes to stick properly, so you’ll want to nourish your nails with the Cuticle Oil Pen first, wait at least 2 hours, then follow the instructions below for a longer lasting manicure/pedicure.
Note: You can also use the Cuticle Oil Pen to help remove Nail Dashes. Just follow the instructions below.
How do I use the Cuticle Oil Pen to help in removing Nail Dashes?
Once you’re ready for a fresh set of Nail Dashes, you can use the Cuticle Oil Pen to help remove your current Dashes via the following steps:
Step 1. Apply Cuticle Oil under the edge of the Dash that’s starting to lift.
Step 2. Allow it to soak in to loosen the adhesive.
Step 3. Once the Dash feels loose, slide the Dash Removal Tool or a cuticle stick under the Dash until it pops off.

What is Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer, and how does it work?
Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer is an easy-to-use pink lash primer that is worn underneath mascara to help define, lengthen, and volumize the appearance of your lashes.
Why is Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer pink?
The pink base is worn underneath your preferred mascara to help define, lengthen, and volumize the appearance of your lashes. It helps ensure even application, because you get a clear visual of where the primer has been applied versus any lashes that might have been missed.
This is especially great for anyone with short or sparse lashes, as the combination of Red Aspen’s Lennie Tubing Mascara or Pump it Up, Maggie Mascara with Dannie makes the black/brown pigments of these mascaras stand out more — And you know we’re ALL about standing out at Red Aspen.
How do I use Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer?
Step 1. Apply on clean, dry lashes.
Step 2. Press the lash primer wand at the base of your upper lashes and pull out in a zigzag motion.
Step 3. Repeat this motion across your lashes until you’ve covered every lash.
Step 4. Wait 30 seconds, then apply your favorite Red Aspen mascara for a flawless finish.
Why should I prime my lashes with a lash primer?
There are several reasons to use a lash primer like Prime & Define, Dannie. For starters, a good eyelash primer can help define, lengthen, and volumize the appearance of your lashes, especially for those with short or sparse lashes.
Not only that, but Red Aspen Lash Primer extends the wear time of your mascara. If you’re someone who enjoys a bold eye look but you don’t feel that you’re getting enough out of your mascara alone, a quick application of Dannie is all it takes to create a better base for your mascara to grip to. The result is more defined and separated lashes, better protection against clumping, AND a better hold for your lash curl.
Can I wear Red Aspen Lash Primer on its own?
You can totally wear Red Aspen Lash Primer on its own, but keep in mind that the pink tint might be more noticeable.
You’ll get the best results when you apply it as a base before applying your favorite Red Aspen mascara, as this’ll give you fuller, more defined lashes.
Can Red Aspen Lash Primer help with short or sparse lashes?
It sure can! Our Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer formula features a few key ingredients that help coat and enhance your lashes, resulting in a fuller appearance. For starters, she’s infused with Carnauba Wax, a natural wax known for its smooth, flexible texture. This helps to build lash volume, but it also helps to define your lashes and ensure a smoother application of your favorite mascara later.
She’s also formulated with Glycerin, which helps to hydrate and condition your lashes to prevent them becoming too brittle over time.
As a special bonus, Dannie’s formula includes Tilia Tomentosa Bud Extract, a soothing botanical loaded with antioxidants. This helps to further nourish your lashes, helping them appear healthier and shinier in the process.
How much does Red Aspen Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer cost?
Red Aspen’s Prime and Define, Dannie Lash Primer retails for $23.
Are there any special bundles with Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer?
Absolutely! We’ll be launching Dannie on its own at $23, but you can also try one of our power couple bundles with your choice of Pump it Up, Maggie Mascara + Dannie or Lift & Lengthen, Lennie Tubing Mascara + Dannie for only $41.40. That’s a 10% savings!
Just remember to keep your Red Aspen Lash Curler and Lash Comb handy if you want the best results!
Do I need to use a lash primer every time I apply mascara?
While it’s not required, using our lash primer regularly can really enhance the effects of your mascara, making your lashes look fuller and more defined. It also helps prevent clumping and flaking throughout the day, and that’s something everyone can appreciate!
Can I use Red Aspen Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer on my lower lashes?
Yep! Our lash primer can be applied to both upper and lower lashes for a more defined, long-lasting look.
What is the difference between a lash primer and mascara?
A lash primer is applied before mascara to enhance the lashes, creating a better base for mascara to grip and last longer. Mascara is applied after the primer to provide color, volume, length, and curl.
How long does a tube of Red Aspen Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer last?
A tube of Red Aspen Lash Primer typically lasts around 3 months, depending on how often you use it. If the primer starts to dry out or lose effectiveness, that’s your cue to replace it.
As a general note, always check the number of months indicated on the packaging, as that reflects the recommended usage time once the lash primer is opened.
Can I apply more than one coat of lash primer before applying mascara?
It's generally fine to apply 1-2 coats of lash primer, but be careful. Applying too many layers can sometimes cause the lash primer to become too thick, making mascara application less smooth.
Does Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer help with lash growth?
Unfortunately, Red Aspen’s lash primer isn’t formulated to help with lash growth. However, it will help to temporarily nourish and enhance the appearance of your natural lashes.
Can I wear mascara if I don't use a lash primer?
You can totally wear mascara without using a lash primer, but you’ll be missing out on the benefits that a lash primer provides. Namely, a more defined and fuller look to your lashes.
Is Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer waterproof?
No, Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer is not waterproof.
How do I remove lash primer and mascara?
Removing a lash primer is easy. Just follow your usual mascara removal method.
How do I use each product in the Red Aspen Lash System?
Red Aspen’s Lash System is super easy to remember. Just follow the steps below:
Step 1. Start by curling your lashes with our Lash Curler. Make sure they’re clean and bare too for the best results.
Step 2. Next, you’ll want to create a smooth, even base for your mascara with the lash primer. Allow it to dry slightly – but not completely – then apply our traditional Pump it Up, Maggie Mascara or Lift & Lengthen, Lennie Tubing Mascara, whichever you prefer! The mascara will seal in the primer and add that perfect final layer of color, volume, and length. Be sure to apply while the primer is tacky to ensure seamless blending and optimal performance.
Step 3. As a last step, go ahead and pick out your favorite set of false lashes. We highly recommend our Red Aspen Miss Lash. Apply them to the top of your mascara, then secure them to your natural lash line with our lash adhesive. Once the glue is dry, lightly press your lashes and falsies together with Red Aspen’s Lash Applicator tool. Voila! A gorgeous, grade-A lash look that you’re sure to fall in love with.
How does the lash primer work with a lash curler? Do you curl before applying primer?
For best results, we recommend curling your lashes before applying the lash primer. Using a lash curler first will help to set the shape. Applying the primer afterward helps to enhance the curl and create a smooth base for mascara.
IMPORTANT: Avoid curling your lashes after applying the primer, as it may cause breakage or damage to your lashes
How does a lash primer and mascara combo work over strip lashes?
It's not recommended to use a lash primer on strip lashes, as lash primers are meant for natural lashes to prep them for mascara.
Is Red Aspen Prime & Define, Dannie Aspen Verified?
Unfortunately, Red Aspen’s Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer is not Aspen Verified. Even though it follows all EU, US FDA, and Canada Regulations, our Dannie Lash Primer includes sulfates in its formula, and despite sulfates being widely used and allowed in many different cosmetics, they can sometimes be an irritant to those with sensitive skin.
As a result, our Red Aspen Prime & Define, Dannie doesn’t quite meet the requirements to be labeled Aspen Verified.
What can I do if I apply too much lash primer?
Lash primer helps to separate and coat the lashes, adding definition. However, if too much primer is applied, don’t worry! Our Red Aspen Lash Comb can help by gently separating the lashes and ensuring a smoother, more defined look before applying your mascara.
What if my lashes still show the pink primer base after applying mascara?
If your lashes still show the pink primer base after mascara, it could be due to not fully coating the lashes with mascara.
To fix this, try applying an additional layer of mascara to ensure complete coverage. Just be sure to wiggle the mascara wand at the base of the lashes and sweep it through to the tips for an even application.
What happens if I wait longer than the recommended 30 seconds after applying lash primer before applying mascara?
If you wait longer than the 30 seconds specified in the directions, the lash primer may dry too much, making it harder for the mascara to adhere properly.
For the best results, try applying your mascara while the lash primer is still slightly tacky. This will ensure it has a better grip on the lashes, creating a fuller, more defined look.
Can I use Red Aspen Lash Primer on my lash extensions?
Unfortunately, Red Aspen Lash Primer is not specifically formulated for lash extensions.
What ingredient makes Red Aspen Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer pink?
The colorant (iron oxides) is what gives Prime & Define, Dannie Lash Primer its pink color.
