Meet Kylie, Leona, Marlowe, McKenna, and Willa!
CUTE AND CLEVER, KYLIE
Kylie is such a joy to be around each and every day. She is bubbly, smart, driven, and always willing to help others. Kylie loves her family and spending quality time with them camping and traveling with them. She is the biggest rodeo and country music fan you’ll ever meet, and is always up for a concert! In fact, she purchases a T-shirt from every concert she attends. Kylie is kind and supportive of others and naturally lives by our mission each and every day. She is so much fun to have around the Treehouse and also happens to be a pro when it comes to picking the perfect GIF to send a teammate!
NEVER CHANGE YOUR SPOTS, LEONA
Leona (aka Onie) is my mom, and the best definition of grit and determination. She’s been through a lot in her lifetime, and despite her setbacks, she always has a smile on her face. It doesn’t matter who you are, if you reach out to her, she’s going to help you. She has a bright personality and is always good for a laugh! She suffers from severe rheumatoid arthritis, and her fingers bend off the side of her hand. She never wants to attract attention to her fingers and hands, but she had me apply nail dashes for her, so she could “see what they look like on crooked fingers.” We applied, and for the first time in 12 years, she’s loving her hands. She now owns multiple sets of dashes and is able to apply them herself. My mom is my biggest cheerleader, and is the first person I call when I hit a promotion or my team does something special. In fact, she asks about my Red Aspen business daily! She’s the one who got me started in the sales industry and helped me develop a passion for it at a young age. It makes my heart so happy to see her not try to hide her hands and embrace her differences and feel beautiful again. 🥰 If there was ever a person who deserved a dash to be named after her, it would be my momma. She’s a bright light in this world, and we need more people like her.
MADE YOU LOOK, MARLOWE
This nomination is in honor of my 98-year-old Grammy Marlowe Haas who passed away. She was an RN for over 30 years and was the wittiest, most practical woman I've ever met. She was also the most loving human being I've ever been around. She was in a nursing home for the last year of her life but always had a memory better than my own. She is now a beautiful angel but I'll never forget how happy the little things in life made her. She was a plain and simple lady when it comes to material things. She lived in a beautiful log cabin that she and Grandpa built. She was an RN all her adult life and was Director of Nurses at Pickering Manor in Bucks County when she retired. She had a massive garden, blueberry bushes for acres, and loved everything in nature. She hunted and was passionate about fishing. We even had her ice fishing with us in her 80's and she canoed almost until she was 90. She had a stroke when she was 94 and lived in assisted living after that. I visited her 2 days a week there and when I started selling Red Aspen one day she grabbed my hands and said how gorgeous my dashes were. She told me something I never knew!! She had never worn nail polish or done her nails. EVER!! So that day I put the Sparkle On Darling Nail Dash on her. She was so stinking excited and showed them to everyone -every nurse, every aide, every resident. She said to me "I can't stop looking at them! I used to think that's vanity but I've changed my mind. It makes me feel loved and important, and there's nothing wrong with that". She said "Why didn't I do this sooner?" She was 97 at that time. Sadly she passed away this past winter at 98. My Grammy Marlowe is the only person in my life besides my kids that I ever felt unconditionally loved by. I'm honored that you would celebrate her.
FIND YOUR WILD, MCKENNA
Mckenna embodies the saying: Both beautiful inside and out! She is brave, smart, kind, and creative. I love to hear her talk about her family. She has such a deep unconditional love for them and you can sense it in the way she tells stories about them. I also love to hear her tell stories of her childhood. She is adventurous, daring, and not afraid to get dirty and compete. She pushes you when you need a little pick me up and is there to celebrate with you in the most unselfish way!
WATCH ME BLOSSOM, WILLA
Willa is my daughter (she’s almost 8!). She loves Red Aspen, especially the petite nail dashes, and has been a big supporter of my business. She has even helped me make a few videos. She is outgoing, spunky, and full of life. She’s never met a stranger and loves to talk and connect with people. Her light always shines so brightly. Infertility is a battle that many women struggle with silently. I didn't know how to express the loss I was feeling. I didn't know how to express the frustration that my body couldn't do what it was made to do. Willa was my light at the end of the tunnel... she shines so bright and lights up every room she's in. She is a natural leader and loves to learn. She’s never met an animal that she didn’t like and plans to be a vet when she grows up. Having Willa made me more willing to share my experiences with infertility and to open up to others. I hope that sharing Willa gives other women faith to continue their journey and to know that they are not alone.
