What Are False Eyelashes?
New to the false eyelash game? No worries! We’ve got you covered. Red Aspen False Eyelashes are made from materials like silk and faux mink, and they come in a variety of shapes and sizes featuring two different builds: strips and minis! Strip lashes are meant to cover your entire lash line from corner to corner, whereas minis are smaller strips that are meant to cover less of your lash line. With minis, you can use one small strip or as many strips as it takes to create the look you desire.
False lashes can be used to accentuate your natural lashes or to add a dramatic flare to your look! No matter the style you're looking for, Red Aspen has false eyelashes made for you.
False lashes are temporarily applied using eyelash adhesive - also known as eyelash glue. This application can be tricky for a first-time falsie user, but don't worry, we'll dive into the nitty gritty on how to achieve long-lasting, flawless lashes every time.
Why Wear False Lashes?
Fake Eyelashes can be used to create a subtle touch of volume to your natural lashes or to compliment full-on glam. False eyelashes are a safer and cheaper alternative to eyelash extensions, which are glued to your individual lash hairs and can often cause damage and loss to your natural lashes - which you definitely don't want!
Falsies won't clump, flake, or stick together, are easy to apply and remove, and you can rotate through different styles depending on the day!
What Lashes are Best for a Natural Look?
Looking for subtle false eyelashes to add a bit more flare to your makeup? Andi, Jeana, and Emmy are perfect for you.
Andi has a flexible and near-invisible band that's great for achieving a light makeup look. This multilayered, tapered silk lash will help to emphasize your natural beauty for any occasion.
Jeana is subtle, but don't let that fool you! Jeana is a fabulous lash with a small, clear band and a curl to give you just the right amount of flare.
Emmy is our mini lash set, so she looks a bit different from her sisters. Instead of coming in a full strip, Emmy comes in smaller strips that can be placed anywhere on your lash line to fill in gaps or to create a perfect cat eye effect by only placing them on the outer edge of your eye.
Which Lashes Should I Wear for a More Dramatic Look?
Chesca, Joy, and Reese are here to help you steal the show! These flirty, dramatic lashes will perfectly suit the full glam you have in store.
Chesca is a stunning faux silk lash with a slight flare - she's the perfect lash to partner with the dazzling eyeshadow of your dreams.
Joy has slightly crisscrossed faux silk fibers to create the illusion of bigger and more lifted eyes. Joy is a great option if you don't want your look to be overshadowed by your falsies.
Reese is a voluminous faux mink, multilayered 3D lash that will add both length and dimension and will perfectly emphasize and amplify your look.
How Do I Apply False Eyelashes?
Now that you've found the perfect false eyelashes for you and your style goals, time to teach you the best way to apply them! Seeing the glue and applicator can be intimidating for some, but once you learn all the tricks, you'll be a pro in no time.
Once you've applied your full face of makeup, it's time for lashes (lashes always come last!). You can wear them solo, or pair them with our Pump It Up, Maggie Mascara (available in black, brown, and waterproof).
Step One:
Remove the false eyelash from the tray using either the applicator or your fingers.
Step Two:
Hold the strip lash up to your eye to gage the size
Step Three:
Trim the corner of the false eyelash to remove any excess lash. This will help to make sure the lash will fit your eyes perfectly! Remember: Start with small trims, you can always trim more later.
Step Four:
Apply the adhesive of your choice. Try using Lucy's Lash Pen - a felt tip adhesive liner that comes in black, brown, or clear. Apply Lucy's Lash Pen (available in black, brown, and clear) directly to your lash line and stick your false eyelashes on. No waiting required!
If you'd rather use your latex-free liquid lash glue, apply a thin layer to the lash band and wait 20 sections for the glue to become tacky. If the glue is too wet, it'll be more difficult to apply.
Step Five:
Apply the false eyelashes to your lash line using your fingers or the applicator! It's helpful to place the center of the lash down first, then the outer corners, then the inner corners. Allow the false eyelashes to dry fully. You may need to use your fingers or the applicator to touch them up - that's okay!
Step Six (Optional):
If you're noticing a bit of separation between your natural eyelashes and false eyelashes, try using your finger or the applicator then gently press your natural eyelashes and your falsies together. This can help your natural lashes blend in better!
Minis and Half-Lashes:
For Minis and Half-lashes, follow the same steps! Although you likely won't need to trim anything.
